ANTI-Ageing INJECTIONS

One of the most apparent signs of ageing is the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Wrinkles are a typical indicator of ageing in areas of the skin exposed to the sun, such as the face, neck, forearms, and hands. The neck, the area around the lips (also known as smokers lines), and the area surrounding the eyes are frequently affected by facial wrinkles. Wrinkles appear when the skin becomes drier, thinner, and less elastic. We provide a variety of wrinkle and fine-line-specific anti-ageing therapies at Stratum Dermatology Clinics.

ANTI-WRINKLE INJECTIONS

The length of the therapy ranges from 15 to 20 minutes, depending on the areas being treated. Every patient needs to undergo a thorough consultation before starting therapy. The drug is always administered with a tiny, fine needle; thus discomfort is possible. We can lessen this discomfort by chilling the skin in the treatment area before the injections. The soothing impact of the muscle lasts for four to six months. From patient to patient, results can differ.

Dermal Fillers

Anti-wrinkle injections cause the muscles to relax, drastically altering the appearance of the face. As we age, our skin becomes less elastic, resulting in wrinkles like crow’s feet and frown lines. The facial muscles tighten over time, causing the skin to frown or squint. The lower face therapy reduces the pull on particular muscles, which delays the sagging with ageing.

TREATMENT AREAS

Anti-wrinkle injections are applied to the upper face to treat:
Crow’s feet lines, which result from squinting and smiling
Forehead lines are often only evident when frowning in younger people, but they get bigger as we get older.
Frown lines between the brows, which are vertical lines. Patients commonly gripe that the bold lines give the impression that they are crossed when in fact, they are not. Injections to soften the appearance of the face are advantageous to both male and female patients.
Bunny lines, the lines between the eyebrows and across the bridge of the nose look like creases. They are the lines that show up when you wrinkle your nose like a bunny. As the skin ages, these lines don’t come back. This makes the skin look older.
Anti-wrinkle injections are applied to the lower face to treat:
Gummy smile: Some people may find that too much gum shows when they smile. This is most common on the top lip and is called excessive gingival show in medicine. You can fix this in many different ways. The most common way to stop the muscles around the lip from pulling it up is to make them weaker and softer.
Chin: If the chin is set back (receded), it can make the face look crooked. The treatment might help relax the muscles that pull the chin back. This lowers the face and makes it look like the person is more at ease. Our lower face skin starts to sag as we age because it loses its flexibility, and gravity pulls on it.
Jawline: Injections into the Platysma, which is behind the jaw muscles, can help reduce slack and drooping of the jawline by relaxing the muscles there.
Marionette lines: are lines that go down from the lip. A toxin and skin fillers can be used together to treat this. The toxin will ease the muscles that are pulling the skin down. This will help the skin come back up. Dermal fillers might be needed to help even more with the deeper folds.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Your injectable treatment will start working immediately, but the full effects may not be seen for a few days or weeks. Depending on where you got the injections, the results of dermal fillers can last up to a year. Most of the time, lip injections last for about 6 months. Injectables that slow down ageing can last between 3 and 4 months.
An aesthetic doctor will need to meet with you at the centre for a consultation to talk about your skin problems and the results you want. They will look at your skin and discuss the best way to help you.
Patients who grind their teeth or clench their mouth (bruxism) and those who sweat too much (hyperhidrosis) can also benefit from these injections. If you have any of these problems, you should make an appointment with a consultant dermatologist. They will be able to tell you what to do.
