At Clinic, we understand that healthy skin is essential to maintaining a confident and happy lifestyle. That’s why we provide private dermatology services to patients with or without private medical insurance. We aim to make healthcare affordable and accessible to all, so we have agreements with every major health insurance provider. These agreements spell out the consultant and clinic fees and are designed to ensure your dermatology needs are taken care of. Insurance companies typically require patients to be referred to us by their GP and approve surgical procedures before the scheduled surgery date.

Insurance Information

Both Clinic and the consultants who work here are recognised by the main healthcare insurance providers. If you plan on using your medical insurance policy, you will need to contact your insurer ahead of your appointment to obtain a pre-authorisation. We will require your membership number and pre-authorisation code by the time of your appointment in order to bill your insurer directly. If you do not have these, then you may self-fund your appointment and make a retrospective claim, although each insurer has different processes for this, and we recommend you familiarise yourself with your own insurers policy as they may not reimburse in full. We will provide you with a medical letter after your appointment and an invoice to support retrospective claims, but do not reimburse insurance shortfalls. For global or international insurers we will accept Letters of Guarantee for treatment. If you do not have a letter, our policy is for you to self fund and reclaim costs through your insurer. Please email or call us if you have any questions and the team will be able to advise.

Cancellation Policy

Your appointment at Clinic is with an expert dermatologist. Their time is valuable so we do ask you to please provide us with at least 24 hours’ notice if you would like to cancel your appointment. We will endeavour to re-book your appointment for a new time that suits you and your payment will be carried forward to this new date or a refund will be provided if you no longer wish to go ahead with your appointment. For self-funding patients, in the event you cancel your appointment within 24 hours, a penalty of 50% of your appointment fee will become applicable. If you fail to attend your appointment and do not provide us with notice that you will not be attending, the full consultation fee will be charged. To change or cancel your appointment, please call us on 0800 048 9230 between the hours of 8am-6pm Monday to Friday. The cancellation policy applies to both self funding and insured patients.
